Sri Lanka Rubella free as declared by WHO

Sri Lanka has been declared a Rubella-free country as declared by the World Health Organisation. A certification in regards to the eradication of rubella was handed to the Sri Lankan Health Minister by the WHO Regional Director. This indicates that Sri Lanka is free of Malaria since 2015, Filaria-free since 2016 and Neonatal Tetanus-free since 2017 by WHO and Rubella-free in 2018.
